1. Is financial assistance / scholarship available for the postgraduate programme?

No.

2. Are the programmes (by research) approved by MQA?

Yes. The Ministry of Education through MQA has given its approval to run the programmes.

3. If I have a foreign pharmacy degree that is equivalent to a PharmD. Can I be admitted directly into the PhD programme?

A PharmD qualification is equivalent to a BPharm (Hons) and therefore a candidate must do a master programme first before proceeding to PhD.

4. Am I required to take TOEFL / IELTS / MUET exam?

Yes you need to score a minimum of 550 for TOEFL; or score 6.0 for IELTS; or band 4 for MUET.

5. Can I be exempted from TOEFL?

You must have TOEFL, IELTS or MUET.

6. If I am a foreign student, can I get student visa through the University?

Yes. The University’s International Affairs Department will assist all students in getting their student visas.

7. Who will select the Research Supervisor for the research project?

The Dean will appoint the supervisor.

8. Can a candidate select his own External Research Supervisor if I register in MAHSA University?

No. The Dean, on the advice of the main supervisor, will appoint the external supervisor.
