MAHSA University’s Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Nursing is a nursing programme for those who are registered with the Nursing Board and want to upgrade their qualification to a Bachelor’s degree.

Students in this programme will expand their knowledge of nursing through the study of professional nursing practice, human biosciences, nursing and research skill, health psychology, health sociology, contexts of nursing practice, and foundational research knowledge and application.

Once they have completed this programme, graduates will have the necessary knowledge and skills to either embark upon specialist nursing careers both in public health or in private medical institutions, or go on to pursue masters’ degrees.

Entry Requirement

Possess Diploma in Nursing from a recognized institution

Minimum 3 years clinical working experience

Registered with Nursing Board Malaysia (NBM) (Local Candidates)/ Nursing Council from country of origin (International Candidates)

Possess Annual Practicing Certificate (APC) (Local Candidates)/Temporary Practicing Certificate (TPC) from NBM before clinical placement (International Candidates)

English Proficiency (International Candidates): IELTS 5.5 / TOEFL 515/215/80

Able to converse in Bahasa Melayu (International Candidates)

Able to converse in Bahasa Melayu (International Candidates)

Health requirements:

All candidates must be certified medically fit by a registered medical practitioner within one month from commencement of the nursing programme

Students must not have any physical disabilities or impaired senses that hinders nursing dexterity

Students with medical conditions such as HIV, AIDS, Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, epilepsy, mental health disorders and color blindness cannot be admitted into the programme.

Pregnancy is not allowed throughout the course
