NDSSC 2019
The National Dental Students’ Scientific Conference (NDSSC) is an annual conference conducted with the aim of encouraging dental students to interact, compete and build fellowship with peers from other dental schools in Malaysia. Since 2009, ten conferences have been conducted by different universities. MAHSA University is privileged to be the organizer for the 11th NDSSC which will be held on the 27th of April 2019 at MAHSA University’s Bandar Saujana Putra campus.The theme for the conference is Aspire, Advance, Achieve. We want the dental students to aspire to greater heights, advance towards success and achieve fulfilment in life.
OUR LOGO
- MEANING
Our logo for the 11th National Dental Student's Scientific Conference (NDSSC) consists of a tooth with five symbols, signifying a research done based on scientific knowledge as well as meticulous analytical skills.
- COLORS
Blue and yellow is our main theme colour as blue depicts depth and stability, a key to a good research, whereas yellow portrays honor and intellect, equally which are essential in a researcher.
- THEME
Our selected theme for NDSSC this year is "Aspire, Advance, Achieve." as we want the dental students to aspire to greater heights, advance towards success and achieve fulfilment in life.
ABOUT US
MAHSA University
MAHSA was founded in the year 2005 by Professor Tan Sri Dr. Hj. Mohamed Haniffa who is Pro-Chancellor and Executive Chairman. Professor Haniffa is a clinical practitioner of Medicine whose vision involves the creation of a stronghold of academic excellence in Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Nursing and Allied Health Sciences, Business and Engineering in the South-East Asian region.
This vision will produce qualified and compassionate professionals to serve the needs of our nation, in line with the Prime Minister’s vision that Malaysia should become a centre for academic excellence.
The new 48 acres campus in Bandar Saujana Putra, is the embodiment of that vision. Today MAHSA University has students from 61 different countries. And not just from the region of Asia, but as far as Australia, United Kingdom, the United States of America and Canada.

Faculty of Dentistry
Since its inception in 2007, MAHSA University’s Faculty of Dentistry has made great strides in the field of dental education. The present 9-storey faculty block with state-of-the-art equipment and facilities provides a conducive environment for training dental graduates.
With more than 200 dental chairs and fully-equipped simulation and prosthetic labs, the Faculty has accomplished great things, such as the five-year MQA accreditation for the Bachelor degree programme DDS, the introduction of the post-graduate Master of Orofacial Science - MOFSc (with component of integrated Restorative Dentistry) and MQA approval for starting the Doctor of Restorative Dentistry (DRestDent) programme. These coursework programmes are steps towards specialist training, a first for any private university in Malaysia.
The continued commitment of the Faculty of Dentistry ensures that the dental surgeons graduating from MAHSA University are of the best quality and meet internationally recognized standards.
