The Diploma in Quantity Surveying prepares learners to adopt a range of skills that are essential for many industries in which a Quantity Surveyor is needed. Its primary objectives are to develop distinctive expertise in measurement, costing, construction technology, construction economics, and legal knowledge that falls under the jurisprudence of this profession. Students will study about the future direction in construction and the property industry. Students will be trained to have an affluent level of skills which are necessary to step into the workforce, as this programme equips them with the fundamental knowledge and skills in quantity surveying practices.

Students who complete this Diploma programme will create an effective pathway for themselves to move towards achieving their Bachelor of Quantity Surveying, which will enable them to be registered as Quantity Surveyors.

Entry Requirement

  • SPM/SPMV/’O’ Levels
    Pass with minimum 3 Credits in any subjects including Mathematics


  • UEC
    Pass with grade ‘B’ in THREE (3) subjects including Mathematics


  • Certificate
    Certificate min. CGPA 2.0 in a relevant field


  • CPU/CIMP
    Average of 50% or higher in 6 subjects (including Mathematics)
  • SAM/HSC/ AUSMAT
    TER/UAI: average 50% or higher in 5 subjects (including Mathematics)


  • Others
    Sijil Kemahiran Malaysia (SKM), Stage 3.
    Pre-U/Foundation / Matriculation in related field:
    Pass with minimum CGPA 2.00
    Other equivalent qualifications as recognised and
    Approved by MAHSA University Senate.
    Any other qualifications deemed equivalent by the
    Ministry of Education, Malaysia (or as stated in the
    Document of COMPARISON LIST OF EQUIVALENCY OF
    QUALIFICATIONS, Malaysian Qualifications Agency)
