Our Diploma in Pharmacy programme prepares you to be become well-trained assistants in many pharmaceutical settings. The course introduces you to basic use of medicine, including the physiology of the human body, the effects of medicines on human body and how pharmacy services are provided in the hospital and community pharmacy. Key topics covered will include pharmacy terminology, drug prescription, pharmacy practices, inventory control and supply. In your final year, you will have first-hand experience in the aspects of a variety of pharmacy services through placements with community pharmacy, health clinics and hospital. In your placement year, you will familiarize yourself with the role and responsibilities of a pharmacist.

Entry Requirement

SPM:

Pass with 3 credits including 1 science subject
(Biology/Physics/Chemistry/General Science [Sains Am]) and 2 other subjects
* Candidates who wish to further their studies to BPharm must obtain min. 5 B’s in Biology & Chemistry & Physics & Mathematics/Additional Mathematics & 1 other subject at SPM level/equivalent

O - Levels:

Pass with min. Grade C in 3 subjects

SKM:

Pass Tahap 3 & Pass SPM with minimum 1 credit

Certificate in Science/Allied Science (with full accreditation): Pass with minimum CGPA 2.00

UEC Senior Middle Three (SM3): Grade B in 3 subjects including 1 science subject
