PROGRAMME OVERVIEW
MAHSA University’s Master of Medical Science (Anatomy) is designed primarily for students who can then expect to continue onto doctoral studies (Ph.D., M.D., or the equivalent).
This specialisation assures training in research techniques and in the preparation of scholarly papers, and it culminates in the preparation and defence of a thesis based on original research. The student's programme of study is an initiation into methods of intense study and research in some selected area of anatomy.
The programme of study includes a comprehensive oral examination of the material presented in the core anatomy courses and a written scholarly project focusing on a contemporary issue falling under one of the various sub-disciplines of anatomy.
The programme also includes the opportunity to learn fundamental laboratory techniques used in anatomical research and the chance to help teach in one or more of the department's graduate or undergraduate courses.

Entry Requirement
Bachelor’s Degree in Medicine, Dentistry, Veterinary Science or Pharmacy by a recognized university with CGPA of 3.00 or above
Any other equivalent degrees recognized by the postgraduate committee
Shall satisfy the examiners in a qualifying examination if required.
English Proficiency (International Candidates): IELTS (6.0)/ TOEFL (550) if 1st degree is from a University where English is not the medium of instruction or Pass in an English Proficiency test approved by the MAHSA University.

Graduates from this programme have a spectrum of career opportunities. They can either become career academics or venture into the research sphere as biomedical researchers, biotechnologists or forensic scientists.
